Welcome to Georgia Chapter, American Concrete Institute (ACI)

Georgia Chapter, ACI was formed in 1965 to bring together various individuals and groups who have an interest in concrete, for the purpose of discussing and disseminating technical and education information.

The American Concrete Institute, founded in 1904, is a technical and educational society dedicated to improving the design, construction, maintenance and repair of concrete structures.

Earlier this month the CDC, Federal, State and many local governments issued policies, guidelines and in some case enacted public gathering restrictions to help control the spread of COVID-19.  ACI International has also issued guidelines on Local Chapter meetings and activities; as such the GA Chapter has decided to cancel our March 27 and April 24 Lunch Meetings.  We are negotiating with the Westin on canceling these events and are looking at the possibility of scheduling some summer meetings after the threat of a virus spread subsides, stay tuned.

ACI Certification Activity has slowed in recent months; the crowds are smaller and close personal contact can be more easily managed on a case by case basis.  For these reasons we are leaving the current schedule of exam review workshops and exam sessions as scheduled.  We ask that each individual asses their current certification needs, taking their personal health, risk and safety into consideration when scheduling any certification activity.  If any individual needs to adjust, reschedule or cancel an exam please contact our Certification Committee Chairman; Wayne Wilson ([email protected]com) and he can help you make any schedule changes.

We are proud to announce that Atlanta, Georgia will be the host of the Fall 2021 Concrete Convention and Exposition!
