Speaker: Jeff Speck

Jeff Speck is General Manager of Marketing and Technical Sales for Trinity Lightweight, the nation’s leading manufacturer of rotary kiln expanded clay and shale lightweight aggregates, with production facilities in California, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama and Arkansas.  Jeff has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry.  He is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute, where he is a past president of the Georgia Chapter, the current chairman of Committee 122 on Energy Efficiency of Concrete and Masonry Systems, and Committee 213 on Lightweight Aggregates and Concrete, and is a member of Committee 216 on Fire Resistance of Concrete and Masonry. 

Jeff is a past Board Chairman of the Expanded Shale Clay and Slate Institute, the international trade association of the rotary kiln lightweight aggregate industry.  He is a member of ASTM International, where he is a past chairman of Subcommittee C09.21, Lightweight Aggregates and Lightweight Concrete, and is a member of Committee C09 on Concrete and Aggregates, C12 on Mortars and Grouts for Masonry, C15 on Manufactured Masonry Units.  In 2007, he received the Award of Merit from ASTM International, which includes the title of Fellow.  He is a member of ASCE, and is also an active member of several other professional and industry organizations related to the concrete and masonry industries.  From 1999 to 2014, Jeff was responsible for marketing, sales, and distribution of lightweight aggregate for Big River Industries in a market area covering 25 states, portions of Canada and the Caribbean. In 2015, Big River was acquired by Trinity Industries, where he is now responsible for Marketing and Technical Services in support of the national sales team.

The Georgia Chapter ACI hosts monthly luncheon meetings throughout the year. Luncheons are an opportunity to network with your peers, earn Professional Development Hours and further your industry knowledge.
